Geofencing allows you to restrict where workers can clock in and out using the NoahFace Go mobile App, based on their geolocation (ie: latitude and longitude).
To record the location of a work site, edit the Site record in the NoahFace Dashboard and press the location marker:

This will launch the location picker window, where you can search for the site address, set an appropriate radius, and Save the location:

To enable geofencing, edit your mobile Access Point Type and set the Location field to "Fenced":

If workers attempt to clock in outside of the defined geofences, this will fail and they will see the following:

On the Events page in the NoahFace Dashboard, each recorded clocking event will include a location marker which can be clicked on to view the geolocation. For example:

When you export your events to a CSV file, this will include geolocation information.
NoahFace will automatically pass geolocations to HR Platforms that can accept them (ie: UKG Ready, isolved, Employment Hero, and Definitiv).
Some businesses have requirements to exclude specific clocking events from geofencing restrictions. NoahFace supports excluding any of the following types of events from geofencing restrictions:
Excluding all Manager generated events requires version 26.0 or later of the NoahFace Go mobile App.
Businesses in industries such as construction, healthcare, hospitality, and cleaning often have employees that work across multiple customer work sites and want to allocate worked hours to the appropriate customer. Such businesses typically want travel time allocated to the site that a worker is travelling to, rather than the site they are currently at. If you have this requirement, see the Tech Note: Recording Travel Time.
There has been enormous growth in the number of workers that work from home, either permanently, on a hybrid basis, or occasionally. As a result, many organizations want their workers to able to clock in and out either on site or at home, while having protections in place to ensure that workers cannot clock in and out elsewhere. If you have this requirement, see the Tech Note: Working from Home.
