Critical Issue with Facial Recognition on iPadOS 26.0

Overview

Apple has introduced a serious bug in iPadOS 26.0 which impacts Apps such as NoahFace that perform facial recognition.

Version 25.15 and earlier of the NoahFace App will not detect faces on iPadOS 26.0.

Resolution

In order to use iPadOS 26.0 or later, you must upgrade the NoahFace App to version 25.16 or later.

If you have previously set your camera zoom to workaround this issue, you need to restore this by either:

• Manually adjusting the camera zoom to its minimum value under Settings/Camera in the NoahFace App on each individual iPad.
• Setting "zoom=1.0" in the Screen Details of each of your Access Point Types.

Further Recommendations

In light of Apple introducing serious bugs such this as we strongly recommend you disable automatic software updates in iPadOS Settings under General / Software Update.

This allows you to control the timing of updates and avoid future outages to your mission critical time clock infrastructure.
